Somewhere
Breathing away thoughts,
awakening now into the quiet,
I realise that somewhere a river is flowing.
Somewhere an eagle soars upon a current;
a baby is being born.
And somewhere other than my world of narrow concerns,
all manner of suffering awaits my awareness, awaits my healing,
as all manner of miracle avails itself to serve me in this task.
Somewhere, far from the fractured world of my divided mind,
is my home, a place of constant warmth
where everything is put back together.
Somewhere, right here, inside my heart.
