Rising flame
In stillness I wait
In silence I sit
a vast unknown before me
opening so many possibilities.
And I wait …
I wait for the flame to rise
and show me a direction-true
that I may take the first step
upon a journey that begins now
in this very moment
and ends in the next
as I begin again
always beginning again
from a place where the flame has purged all
and I am new.
